2/3? oh good lord suppressedtime February 21 2010, 21:36:42 UTC
Then there is her relationship with her 'little sister'. That's a bit trickier and often not as simple as most people make it out to be. When it comes to Alice, Sharon is doting and loving. There doesn't seem to be any sense of reserve there, as she fantasizes of spending a day with her dear Alice and teaching her many things. However Sharon isn't going to glomp the girl on sight, because that would simply be improper. Grabbing hands and generally giddy, girlish gestures is the way to go. (Ah, and for the record, Alice also falls in the 'friends' category. She's just special because she's cute and adorable.) But while I'm here, I might as well address fangirl!Sharon too. Sharon when she flips that switch and goes fangirly is sliiiightly tricky. You can apply your own tastes for the fandom there, look for any 'fandom shipping' or 'that was so adorable a;sldfjasdf' moments and express them in the most eloquent language you can. If you go off on a tangent and add flowery language, that's even better. However that's only alright when Sharon is in the company of people she trusts. In message that'll go out to all of the game, she's a bit more reserved and can let her fangirlish tendencies slip just a little bit, but her explanations are more level-headed.

For example: If your Gil and Oz get in a fight, Sharon would probably rant to Break or Alice with something along the lines of, "It's a disagreement! Isn't that refreshing and new? The lines between master and servant are blurred as they butt heads and are forced to deal with the idea that even as the best of friends, they cannot agree on every little thing!" But if someone that is only an acquaintance asks her about it, she'll likely tone down her excitement considerably. It wouldn't look right for her to be so ecstatic about an argument between her friends, even though she admittedly... is.

The bottom line is that when you're having Sharon fangirl, there are certain things that trigger her and certain things that don't. If one of her friends gets in a close relationship, that doesn't mean she'll immediately jump on it. While she'd probably be happy, it takes... more scandalous things to ping her. There has to be a little bit of drama in order to get Sharon interested. For example, Sharon was only truly interested in Alice and Oz's relationship when Alice felt that Oz was neglecting her. And then when Gil and Oz were having a fight, she was immediately pinged and curious because it looked like the normally well-off and smooth-sailing relationship had taken a turn for a worse. It's hard to deny that Sharon really does have a flair for the dramatic.

Finally, the last relationship to address is... Well. Break. And that's a challenge in its own right. My first recommendation is to be in contact with your Break. If there is a lack of communication between you two, it could lead to confusion and perhaps even limitation on the Break's part. I can't speak for what would happen if Sharon did not have Break around seeing as... I'm too scared to try, aha... ha. But if they are in the same game together, I highly highly suggest that you and the Break player are on the same page as much as possible. If there is a community-wide event coming up, you'll have to organize the events. Break and Sharon are nearly inseperable unless the situation turns dangerous, and having only one or the other attend the event, or having both attend but not together, would be very strange. Sharon realizes that she would probably need protection, more so in a foreign world that most games are set in, and the idea of her being away from Break would be reckless and veeery unlikely. Unless their seperation is planned beforehand, they should always be together or within the same vicinity, at the very least. (I wouldn't be surprised if they were aware of any substantial CR that the other had either, but that's even more complicated and up to you if you want to go that far.)
