Bah. Well, I'm sure you can get some mojo with non-canonmates. If you app into one of my games, I'll be more than happy to do what I can.

Zoku kicks off with a three episode recap/retcon (if you look at it in a certain way) and the episodes somewhat contradict each other and break the fourth wall once or twice. (There's one moment in which Itoshiki's announcing the results of exams and basically says, "All of the plot-important people got held back a year: unimportant nameless scenery characters all graduated." Then he tries to change the subject, and Chiri rages about him glossing over important plot points.) Should you watch them? Yes, if you can. Because they're fun! But not because you're missing truly important plot factoids or bits of canon.

If you do app him in somewhere, one thing I think you should do early on is ask people if they mind him crashing the average thread. (You know, not some dire CR-building death thread, but two friends talking about coffee.) Like a permissions meme. And yes, ask again when you're ready to threadjack, but just get a general sense of what sorts of threads you can randomly barge into and start monologuing about despair in. Really, a great deal of his canon really does involve him butting into the conversations of his students.
