Original Fantasy RP Ideas (mostly MxM)
Heya! My name is Jenna, I'm 30 with like… 20 some years of rp experience, and I would love to find a longterm rp. I've been lurking in this community for a while but haven’t seen much of what I’ve been looking for, so hopefully there are some other lurkers who might be interested in the same things :) I’ve found a few partners, just hoping for some more to focus my creativity on! I would absolutely love to create a fantasy world to dive into with someone. If you contacted me when I posted a few months ago and I fell off talking to you, please feel free to reach out to me again. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of messages I had received.
If you contact me, please tell me a little about yourself and what you’re interested in! I would really prefer someone at least in the mid-twenties, and would be most comfortable with someone who identifies as female and is close to my age. I already feel old. RPing with someone in their early 20s would make it so much worse lol (but if you think we’d get along well, I’m not opposed to it!). I'm also looking for someone who is fairly frequent in replying. I have a hard time maintaining interest if I'm often waiting several days/a week for each post.
And if you lose interest, please just let me know. I hate waiting and wondering if something happened.

I have discord and google hangouts for plotting/OOC purposes. I’ll give them through email. I prefer google docs for the actual rp, but I’m open to other options, especially discord.
What you RP: A lot of things, as long as there is a fantasy or supernatural element to it. I highly prefer a romance between our two main characters, but that's not to say it should be rushed or forced. I'm totally okay with doubling, as well as playing multiple characters in general. Keeps things more interesting and realistic to have a cast instead of just two to focus on the whole time. I enjoy everything from medieval fantasy, modern fantasy, sci-fi, mythology, historical, and others (just no slice of life). I’m really looking for some fun fantasy world-building, with a heavy focus on characters, right now. Most of my plots are leaning more towards MxM, but I’m open to MxF and more, especially if we end up with a large cast.
Characters you RP: Original. I usually create characters specifically for an rp, so I don't have an arsenal of pre-made characters available. Just some vague ideas.
Characters you’re looking to interact with: Characters with depth and that act realistically. I absolutely cannot stand pathetic, wimpy 'uke' characters, so if you like to only play submissive characters that fit into that, then I'm not a good match for you. Or if you are only willing to play female characters. Other than that, I'm not too picky, and I'm always excited to get to know other people's OCs and to have mine interact with them. Let the characters decide their dynamic, not some predetermined stereotype.
Any specific storyline ideas, or general feelings involved with RPing: I love rping, and I would love to have a partner that feels the same as I do. Plotting together, making pinterest boards, gushing over our characters, (I also usually draw our characters a lot if I’m into the rp), and just generally being excited and into the rp. I prefer becoming friends with my partners, just because it makes the rp seem way more comfortable and enjoyable. So, please, don't be afraid to show your enthusiasm! I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one enjoying something.
I also love using face claims, whether semi-realistic art, or actual photos (please no anime). Since I enjoy drawing, it helps to have a visual!
Writing: I write in 3rd person, past tense, prose-style, paragraph to multi-paragraph, but I'm not picky about length, as long as there is something to work with. I usually have no trouble responding at least once a day, and often much more. Having a partner that is able to respond at least every other day would be amazing. When it takes several days or a week to get a response, it's easy to lose interest in the rp and it's hard to progress anything, so if you’re more of an infrequent poster then we probably won’t work well together. Of course, I understand that things come up sometimes, and I'm fine with that- just let me know.
Smut: I’m totally fine with it, and I think writing it out at least a few times gives us a chance to explore more sides of our characters.
Word Bank: Power struggle, fantasy, fae, elves, magic, height differences, forbidden love, angst, fluff, putting characters through hell, soulmates, hurt/comfort, possession, twisted relationships, legends, sexual tension, powerful couples, snarky characters, mythology, morally grey, dragons, dragons with human forms, ancient creatures, anne rice-style vampires, assassins, space fantasy, royalty, shapeshifters

Plot Ideas: This list is by no means complete, and if you have some ideas, please feel free to toss them my way! These are just what I've been thinking about most recently, but I'm completely open to others. Most of these ideas are MxM unless otherwise stated.
Assassin x Victim/Bystander
I have a vague idea for a drow/dark elf assassin for this. The other character could be the intended victim, or perhaps the assassin was injured attempting to do a job, and a character finds and helps him. Totally open to plots for this, I would just love the opportunity to play a drow.
Prince/Noble/Something x Guard
The family of an eccentric, party-loving young noble hires a guard to keep him out of trouble. Great opportunity for power struggle and forbidden love here. Very open to ideas on further plotting!
Sci-fi
Something sci-fi, similar to Star Wars maybe? Or Final Fantasy, with a mix of fantasy and cool glyphs and technology? I don’t have a lot of experience with writing sci-fi, but I’m definitely interested in it! My idea for this involves a female mercenary-type character who enjoys pretty clothes and ballet on the side. Maybe a new planet has been discovered, and mercenaries are assigned to watch over scientists as they investigate this new planet. Something happens and our characters are separated from everyone else and stranded on a strange planet filled with mysteries and danger. Willing to come up with a male character for this as well if necessary.
Prince/Noble/Something x Thief
A thief is just going about his business, stealing precious items from rich households, when he accidentally walks in on an attempted assassination, and feels the need to save the victim- a spoiled prince/young nobleman. A whole plot is revealed and the two have to go on the run together to stay alive. Or maybe the thief took a job to steal something in particular, and doesn’t realize until it’s too late that the ‘something’ is actually the prince. Maybe the thief happens upon a creature within the castle, something rare and long thought to be either legend, or gone from the world (maybe something like a humanoid dragon?), and it’s being kept captive and he feels compelled to free it, and then they must go on the run as they are hunted- because the royal family definitely does not want to give up their prized possession.
Vampire x Human/Other Vampire
I have a vampire character I’d love to use. He is very old, but has been out of the game for a while so is quite out of touch with modern society and would be reliant on someone else to show him around. Or maybe he encounters an old rival who wants to take advantage of his vulnerability.
