good: it's pretty active, there's almost always a plot for anyone, it's easy to jump into, most of the casts are pretty solid bad: the non-solid characters are terrible, it gets wanked on a lot, there's a lot of ooc bullshit.
ignore the ooc bullshit and you'll probably like it.
Apps are pretty easy, make sure your first person sample is good, that's what mods tend to be the most picky about.
There are some muns floating around that are completely batshit/just plain bad but IMO there are a lot more that are awesome people and awesome roleplayers. Not a game for everyone, I had a pretty hard time getting into it at first, but now I love it.
Try it. Some of the characters are a bit OOC, but their muns seem pretty nice, and then there absolutely awesome characters.
Be prepared for some confusion, though. Some of the OOC info's a little out of date--if it's a concern, you should be able to get any questions answered at the chat.

The MGS cast (yeah drama w/e CRY MOAR) pretty much all the avatar people I've seen seem pretty good so far (Sokka & Tai Lee & Iroh esp!) Travis Touchdown cuz lol swearing.
THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS RP THOUGH IT BLOWS MY MIND AND FREAKS ME OUT and then I end up ignoring like 75% of posts because I just can't process it all. wtg me.
