First, it's good to determine whether or not she can summon outside the Dark Hour. I've noticed that game canon never really specifies on which. The other thing is figuring out if Mitsuru can summon without her Evoker or not. (The Hot Springs Incident and the art work for it seems to suggest this can go either way.)

If summoning is an option, then definitely think about what all she can do with ice; saying "Mitsuru cast bufu" is okay, but she has a lot of options with her element. Stalagmites, sheets of ice on the floor to make things slippery, creating cages, obstacles, or crushing avalanche like waves are all possibilities. And (this is the only horrible chairman level pun in the advice, I promise) are only the tip of the iceberg.

Keep in mind that Mitsuru has experience with fighting monsters. She's already been killing Shadows for several years by the time the game starts, and has been learning how to summon and control Penthesilea for even longer. She knows how to use a sword, and is used to situations in combat where she'll need to think and react fast. It's very difficult to overwhelm her with stress while in a battle, and the only real surefire way to accomplish that is to threaten something/someone she cares about.

Also, in regards to Persona summoning; Mitsuru is frighteningly good at it. She's the sort of person who will put an Evoker to her head without any hesitation and pull the trigger, all while ordering Penthesilea to hurry up and appear to deal out some icy pain. (Her battle quotes are good indicators of this. It says something when her summoning lines are things like "I summon/command thee.") She also knows she's good at it which…Sort of feeds that perfectionist complex, as an unfortunate side effect. She is critical of herself in battle, and while she might get annoyed at her teammates if they aren't holding together, the harshest judgment is reserved for herself.

In Mitsuru's mind, it's vital for her to be able to finish battles quickly, efficiently, and with the minimal amount of mistakes. She's fast to beat herself up if things don't go as planned (see, the Priestess Arcana on the train when she delivers her report to Ikutski, or when getting trapped in the weapons bunker) then Mitsuru will conclude that it's because of something she failed to do; anticipate, react, whatever. She's still the one at fault. Mitsuru carries a LOT of S.E.E.S. weight on her shoulders, and assumes responsibility fast. It's both an admirable trait, but also one that can drag her down really easily and quickly.

Finally, Shadows. If she encounters something like Shadows in the RP, or some actual Shadows, Mitsuru's first response will likely be 'shoot/stab first, ask questions later.' She's dedicated to getting rid of them, and sees Shadows as an absolute enemy, so every one that she kills means one less threat to worry about. She can actually be a bit single minded about that, which is something to keep in mind if there's multiple things going on in a fight. Usually, her focus will be on fighting and eliminating a threat first, and only healing her allies if absolutely necessary.
