Pushing Daisies

I just watched a delightful pilot episode for a show which may or may not have legs as a series.

Quite the oddest thing I have seen on TV lately )

Greatly enjoying Eureka S2, and just starting to work my way through the S1 DVDs. Some good extras there, and the show itself is better on DVD than as a download.

Is Eureka S2 being shown on cable in the UK or are you doing something cunning to watch it as it appears in the States? (The latter said hopefully because otherwise I'm missing it.)

A person who might not be me might conceivably choose to watch it via some of the not entirely legal torrent sites. And indeed any manner of other shows.

I'm very glad to hear it has a second run. I thought it was one of the more intelligently written series for tv- but then isn't that always the way with sci-fi?

Oh, see, now I do want to see that pilot. Wherever you got it...

Meanwhile, dude, how much do I love Eureka and the OT3??

Did you ever watch Dead Like Me? Apparently this was intended as a spin-off of it?

I'm assuming that "Pushing Daisies" is the name of the show? And that Chuck is the name of the girl and not of the dead father (I think that becomes clearer as I read on, but boy was I confused when it seemed like his mother and the father next door (named Chuck) were both dead but he was fighting crime *with* Chuck (Randall and Hopkirk the US version?)

Or maybe it's 3am and my brain has faded!

So glad you liked Pushing Daisies! Critics here are already enthusing about it.

I quite like Anna Friel - I saw her in Closer in 1999, and she was very young, but very good.
