Well, journal. Since many of you know spoilers I need to ask.

What happens to Lucius? I don't care about anyone else (well, I do but he's a throw away name, we already know he's R.A.B and Ron and Hermione get to be happy so no worries there.) so I need your help!

Lucius lives along with his family. Despite being cursed by Voldemort and generally put through hell throughout the course of the book, it's made VERY clear that he loves his family. He tries to talk Voldemort out of continuing the battle at Hogwarts in order to find his son and when the full-out battle at the end happens, he and Narcissa don't even bother to fight. They just run through the crowd, screaming for Draco.

It was heartrending. In the end, they're huddled together, alive, and in one piece.

Why is it disgusting? I would think it's damned relieving to have their love for one another be canon instead of the godawful abusive!Lucius, wilting!Narcissa bullcrap this pathetic fandom enjoys shoving up their collective assholes.

Becuase it destroys all of Lucius "I am a Death Eater" Canon that comes before. I, frankly, couldn't careless about the Malfoys as a family but Lucius was an interesting villian which is why, I'm sure, most of us liked him. It's the distruction of his whole character arch I'm complaning about.
