Yesterday was quite possibly the best birthday I have ever had. At least, in quite a while anyways. Russell & Paul both called me to wish me a happy birthday.. I felt bad for missing their calls. Rose took me, by surprise (and I can't believe I didn't guess where we were going once we got to Long Beach) to The Queen Mary. We went on the Haunted Encounters tour.. Right off the bat.. while we were waiting in line to get tickets, some guy just walks up to the front... acts like he's looking at the sign, then goes up to the window as soon as it was vacant.. my completely developed brain (that's what happens when men reach 25 -thanks Christian!) said. "hey, its your birthday, don't take that shit!" So I went up to the guy "hey man, there's a line." and he backed down... acting like he thought we were waiting for something.. "Ya.. the tickets" The tour was cool.. just to be in the ship.. but Rose & I both agreed that for the price, it could have been better/ less confusing. Then, we met my parents, brother, and Lindsay at the Fish House Vera Cruz, where they treated me to dinner (embarrassment free!) After that, it was to my parents house, where they gave me gifts, and we had carrot cake (my mom makes the best) and Lemon Meringue Pie from Marie Calendars (nothing beats this pie.) The gifts that I got for the most part were so personal, and really made me feel good. The card my parents gave me (with my dads handwriting) really almost made me cry.
I'm so fortunate to have an awesome family, awesome friends, and Rose! Thank you everyone for making my day great! Rather it was simply a "happy birthday," or I got to spend time with you, it's truly appreciated.
