Tonight was not the kind of game in which you need a player like me. I played 1:43 all game. I'm not complaining. I know how the world in the new NHL is. Gary Bettman says that fighting has it's place in the NHL but the new rules have made it very hard to have guys on a roster who just fight. I can respect that. Guys who just fight and can't skate or score or anything have no place. They are just goons. And I say that in a bad way.
But it's hard to sit there and just wait for coach to come and tap you on the shoulder and let you know you're next. You want to help the team as much as everyone else, but in the playoffs it's more a time for skill than for fists.
