Well, I just recently joined a gym - that's kinda scary. I figured that since I have this time off between school and work, I'd get my ass in gear and see if I can get in shape.
I did my first session by myself today, and it was kinda weird, but nice. I road a stationary bike for about 15 minutes before the 24 hour gym closed for the night (you think I'm kidding, but I'm not), and I had one of weirdest sensations I've had in a while - my nuts fell asleep (again, I'm not kidding). But in anyevent, I'm having my second session with my trainer tomorrow, and I think that she'll be showing me how to use the weights w/o doing long-term, permanent harm to myself.
This whole thing is weird, mainly because this is the first major proactive step I've made in the betterment of my health, and seems as though it will be a long-term commitment/process (16-20 months), but considering I've spent the better part of a decade and a half putting on over 200 pounds of weight that is over the 'healthy' weight of someone for my height, it's not that bad. Hopefully the next time I see people, there will be a lot less of me.
That's all for now
