Most posts are open to the public, some limited to "friends"-list, and others to custom lists. If you want on the friends list and custom list just ask. F-list is practically a given. If I don't know you, figure you probably won't get on my custom lists, so it never hurts to make a second request after a little time passes. The custom lists that may be of general interest are:
