The Photographers Gallery cafe - earnest bullshitter photog pitches ideas to PG staff, they are clearly not interested - he says:
"... the photographer's role is not to supply the answers, but to ask the questions .... a portrait of a cat is not about the cat, it's about us .... I'd like to see more portrait of tortoises, really big ones, yeah..."
The two women he's talking to do not guffaw when he is out of earshot, but I hear one say "I hope he didn't think we're lesbians..."
Later that same day -
On the way to Highbury for the Electric Shocks gig, the guy next to me (about 20, trendyish) is making tiny figures out of silver foil. He tries to sit them on the bottom of the window frame beside him, but they keep falling off.

this is my favourite picture:
I'm putting the whole thing online, with C's help, but I will also do a short version with the pics and funny bits only. The short version will be called 'Two Turntables and a Microphone, 1927'.
