Hope
If Dean had asked him first, Sam would have said no.
Or at least hinted that, with the case closed, he was more than ready to wave goodbye to Faith.
But Dean, being Dean, had just shot off his mouth about the next town in an odd-backhanded invite and then been too busy chugging his beer to see Faith’s look.
Sam wasn’t.
He saw the lightning-quick flicker of hope in her eyes and he realized she was alone in way he’d never known - never would with a family like his.
He had no choice . “Faith, wanna come with us?”
END.
Justice
Faith watched Dean beat the crap out of the half-demon.
“Dude, I think it’s dead.”
He didn’t respond - just kept wailing on the thing.
She finally hauled him off the mangled corpse. “Remind me why this was YOUR kill? Sam’s the one it took a chunk out of.”
He turned and walked away. “Family justice thing - you wouldn’t get it.”
Her hand automatically curled into a fist and she bit back the urge to deck the fucker. “Next time, try ‘because’.”
Her steely tone made him look back and she couldn’t hide the hurt fast enough. “Er, Because.”
“Fine.”
END.
