Tax time was pretty crazy and surprisingly, Andrew actually seemed to know a lot about the tax code. Maybe it was because he’d been evil.
“Can I deduct the value of all that makeup I used giving Colleen a makeover, because that was totally a charitable contribution!” Vi asked, dodging Colleen’s kick.
Faith frowned. “Andrew - I can write off our little bets as gambling losses, right?”
“Can I claim the Potential’s ice cream allowance as a “child care expense”?
“Are stakes a work expense?”
“How about eye of newt?”
“My brain is melting! No more!” Andrew wailed and fled the room.

Faith collapsed onto the bed face first with a groan.
Giles glanced up from his paper and, when she didn’t move, nudged her.
She turned her head. “What?”
“Didn’t want you to suffocate.”
She deliberately buried her face again. “I wish I would. Everything hurts…”
Giles just snickered softly. “Yes, young people can be very…taxing.”
Faith caught his meaning and glared. “Oh, ha ha. There’s a vast difference between how we were at 16 and Dawn’s twins at 4.”
“Of course there is, dear.”
“Keep it up and I’ll volunteer to watch them next weekend- ‘Pawpaw’.”
Giles shuddered. “You win.”
