Does everyone do this?

Whenever I read about a new disease, at some point my eyes glaze over and I spend about five minutes imagining how I would break the diagnosis to a patient before I realize what I'm doing and snap out of it.

Today I told four imaginary people they had: adenocarcinoma (colon cancer), leiomyosarcoma (uterine cancer), adenoma in the adrenal cortex, and...  I don't remember, something benign in the breast stromal tissue. That last one took it pretty well.

After I decided to start practicing today, I felt amazingly good for the rest of the afternoon. I felt so good all the way through dinner that I decided to skip practicing in favor of puttering around my room savoring my good mood. So, you know, that didn't work out the way I intended.

Tomorrow???
