36. Dallas 11/17/06- 5-3 Dallas- Steve Rucchin gave us a 1-0 lead 42 seconds into the game on a great setup play by the one and only Ilya Kovalchuk, but shortly thereafter, Dallas had tied the game at one... then had a 2-1 lead... then had a 3-1 lead.... and eventually a 4-1 lead in the second intermission... sitting in section 221, I was hoping for more excitement, and it was provided in the 3rd period when Glen Metropolit closed the Dallas lead to 4-2, and then Hossa cut the score to 4-3... Blueland was getting louder and louder, but I could see our jugular veins being exposed when we couldn't control our energy on a Dallas power play with 6 minutes left in the game. Mike Modano collected an akward rebound that fell from straight above, and finished the scoring. Lehtonen was HORRIBLE in the first period, and the Thrashers only displayed full effort for about 6 minutes.
