So much pink. It was so absolutely perfect. Pink, taupe, robin's egg blue, roses, jasmine, lace, buttercream frosting, strawberry lemonade, everyone I love, and the man I'm going to spend my life giving all of my love to.
Ryan's Birthday is March 12, just a few days before the wedding! So we made a double-layer Orea cake:
~.~.~
We still had a lot to get done,
I also made up a few fan designs in photoshop, to make cutesy vintage paddle fans for everyone to have! I'll have to find a photo of some later...
~.~.~
And finally...
Our Wedding Cake! One layer was marbled chocolate & vanilla and the other two were white cake with raspberry cream.
Centerpieces were in my Mother's vintage milk glass that she's collected over the years, on pink & apricot tablecloths with all of our family silver & china. I wish I could have kept all of the flowers forever!
We didn't have a bridal party or any groomsen, but Linnea and Lucia made perfect flower girls!
Shannon made my hair the most beautiful I've ever seen it! And my cousin Jessica, who used to work at a Clinique counter, did my makeups wonderfully.
Giving Mom a hug.
And my gorgeous groom! I had to stop myself from running up to the altar.
My Aunt Irma Kay performed our ceremony for us; it was so beautiful! Just went by in a flash.
Our first married kiss!
My Mom & Dad.
Ryan's Mom and Dad! Well, they're all our parents now! :)
Me, Mom, and Mom's mom!
All of our parents!
More family!
My Nana, Aunt Irma, Aunt Susie, Cousin Cirrus, & my Cousin Jessica with their beautiful little boy, Caden.
& as many as we could fit in one photo.
In front of my Nana's great big pepper tree.
Signing the license, yay!
I remember reading somewhere that the cutting of the wedding cake was meant to symbolize the first task performed together as husband and wife... no pressure?
After going back and forth on whether to have a cake topper or just use fresh flowers, since so many are awfully cheesy and the vintage ones are rather pricey to use for one occasion, we finally found a really sweet 40s-ish one, with cute faces, too!
& then of course, we were required to stuff each others faces with cake!
I'm going to miss these guys. :(
Kate's hair looks so amazing~
My Grandpa Jim & Uncle Mike.
David, Jennifer, Michelle, & my Dad.
Jennifer and I were best friends through Jr. High & High School. We were so into j-rock & Japanese fashion, making curry, giggling over boys.
My cousin Andrew and his wife, Cassy, and their adorable little girl, Addison.
Talking to Ryan's Dad. He said he'd never seen him so happy, and my eyes welled up with tears.
I like pictures where people look funny while they're talking, as Christina and I demonstrate here.
My Nana's porch swing
Everything went by so fast. I'm glad we have so many beautiful pictures to remember it all! ♥
Next: Our trip from California to Texas, and then from Texas to Colorado!
