Wow, it's been a long time since I updated last. A ton has happened since then. So hello, old journal, old friend. I'm back.
Right now I'm in the middle of PREF. Halfway through the six weeks. It's a ton. But I'll get into that in a minute.
World was AMAZING. A lot happened. I don't have time for a day-by-day account right now, but here are some highlights:
Tom Harmon was the speaker.
I led worship- a HUGE blessing and privelage. Sang and played guitar.
The Mafia geese didn't kill anyone (they tried)
My team won World!!!
I got 4th individually
I got the Larimore Award- an award given by the quizmasters to a quizzer who is not only good at quizzing but also displays Christian leadership on and off the pads (the best honor I've ever gotten...)
because we won world, Rachel our coach did 100 pushups and jumped into the lake...
K, there's a few. I might post more later if I have time.
Now I'm in PREF. A lot is differnent. For example, the group of PREF is larger than the class I graduated with (27 : 19). So yeah. Every day I have four classes between 8 am and 4:15 pm. The ppl in my group are cool- rather crazy. I also got plugged into a Christian group, DiscipleMakers (aka DM) and got to check out 2 churches so far. The first, Calvary, was really cool- contemporary, great speaker, etc. The second, a United Church of Christ three minutes from my dorm, I found rather boring- read from the script, hymns, etc. Not even a Scriptural message. But yeah. DM meets on Friday nights so I've been going there since there's no study hours Friday nights (we have to go to study hours from 7-9 each night). But yeah. Basically this program is really intense and busy. But I just have to keep reminding myself that it's gonna have great pay-offs in the fall.
