well. where to begin?
random bit before i forget, i thought of a title for my new sequel to Jade. so to the world i introduce "Sapphire." yeah, i know, from jade to sapphire. you won't know why until about the last, idk, three chapters? sounds about right.
christmas was really nice. just stayed home allllll day. loved it! my bros were home and we had a lovely day together. we did our thanksgiving jar (we write what we're thankful for on pieces of paper throughout the year, then on christmas we read each slip and put it in an album) then got to the presents. i got... uh... pistachios (woot!), new jc cd (SOOPERWOOT), a new scarf and hat and jacket my mom knitted, a sweet NASA calendar and mug, and maybe a couple other things that i just forgot. late gifts included the last sin eater soundtrack and soon a 1/4-inch cable for my guitar. woot! but prolly my fave was a little silver lighter with the NASA Ames center logo on it. it was my uncle Joe's.
of course, the day i decided to take the lighter with me to a bball game was the first game we won. we won the christmas tourney and got sweet medals. :-) i scored 6. and i'm SO happy those last two free throws i missed didn't make or break the game, or else i would be really mad. we only won by three pts.
oh yeah, don't worry, the lighter doesn't actually work. haha, cuz yeah, im the biggest pyro ever. :-/
friday was nice. our game was canceled and i went to a coffee house with my bro that night. i wasn't planning to play anything but i took my guitar anyway. i ended up playing what if i stumble by dc talk and a song i wrote called "remember", plus a little of big house by audio a lol. it was really fun- and the first time i ever played live. chapel band doesn't count- singing alone at an open mic night at a coffee house is totally different. but yeah, it was really fun. and i got to see a friend who's been in TN for college, and a friend from my own college class.
saturday we went to the henry ford museum and saw polar express 3d in imax. not to mention the ford rouge factory tour. sweetness.
yesterday we concluded our series of "the stars of christmas" with the kids at church. it was fun. and i got a schedule for the teachers thru march. how awesome is that? seriously, something so small can be something so huge.
then, out to lunch! then i went to clean while my fam and a fam from church went to my house to hang out and play guitar hero and stuff. apparently their electricity was knocked out in their neighborhood from those insane windstorms that went through a couple nights ago.
speaking of which. on the way to church yesterday we saw a tree limb (a BIG one) that had been ripped from the trunk and fell on a neighbor's car. crushed the back windsheild and part of the roof. how uncool. yeah... prayer there would be good. i know the family who lives there too... their son was in my class way back when in elementery school.
haha i got to see both "tennesseeians" in a four day span. ;-)
i get to see clauson tomorrow!
