Tarmac, Here I Come!
I thought I had something to do on Saturday morning and that I would have to miss the Teterboro Airport 5K (boohoo!) As it turns out, however, I am off the hook and can go with DH after all. Woohoo!
A little background: Most people hate this race because it takes place on a black airport tarmac in the middle of July. Can we say HOT AS HELL? But that just makes me rise to the challenge. I usually do well at this race, too; usually place in the top 3 in my AG. Also, the raffle prizes are awesome. Last year I won a $25 gift certificate to a running store; the year before it was a $50 grocery coupon.
One good thing about this race: It's flat.
