What the...?
DH & I did a 5K race today in what felt like an oven. About halfway through, I decided it was too hot to even care so I just decided to do it as a fun run. Amazingly, I managed to place 1st in my AG, as did DH. Him I'm not too surprised about since he thrives in hot, humid weather and usually does well. Granted, my finishing time sucked (no, I won't post it here!) but what the hey?
For our efforts, we won gorgeous, thick, blue and gold beach towels. My friend, Helene, won one of the raffle gifts, two beach chairs. She also won third in her AG so she had the towel, the beach chairs and I told her all she needed was the sunscreen and she was good to go!
