Over the last 48 hours Reading FC have announced Brendan Rogers as the man who will succeed Steve Coppell as manager. Rogers signed a three-year deal with the Royals.
To be honest he wasnt my first choice personally, but it will be interesting now to see what happens in regards to the transfer market! also glad that they have finally sorted the post out, as i had a strange feeling that we were going to take forever to appoint a new manager. He is also meant to bringing with him his backroom staff from Watford as well including Frank Lampard Snr!!! (mightypretty - father v son match on august 1st!!!), so at least we will get some new fresh ideas (thats whats worrying me with Rogers because of his previous links to the club, but am hoping he will prove me wrong!) However Rogers will also keep Sal Bibo (goalkeeping coach), which is great news as this provides the new manager with someone who already knows the players at the club and therefore can help him develop the team.
cant wait for start of season now! roll on for pre-season!
