So came home from work yesterday, sick. had a cold all weekend, but it got worse sunday/monday. still went into work on monday but just made myself worse. But by yesterday well, you know what it was like... hadnt slept in 48 hours, couldnt keep any food down, u know the drill. My dad's got the same thing, so poor mum's had both of us to put up with!!
BUT typical me went into work as i usually do, but by half 11 i couldnt carry on anymore. Then spent half an hour trying to find a member of management to see if i could go home, how bloody stupid is that?????? didnt help that id actually been sick at work too, not good. Finally found someone and came home and spent the rest of the day on the sofa with my quilt and pillow, along with a good book and the tv remote.
Only problem was, i couldnt converntrate on the book (my eyes kept watering), so went and dug out the old dvds!!! Dawson's Creek marathon!!!!! had recently watched season 1 (all down to you walked_onwater, u reminded me how much i loved that show!!! Joshua Jackson! :thud:), so started to weatch season 2! ahh the good old days. Carried on watching today as well (nearly finished season 2 now) - spent the day in bed still bad (although im getting there). Id forgotten how much i loved this show, perfect medicine to cheer me up. BUT get this when i phoned up this morning to tell them i wouldnt be coming in, they asked me if i was going to go to the doctors????? seriously what is the doctor going to give me for the flu???? common sense people!!!!
The aim though - get better for sunday, becasue there is no way i am missing the villa game!!! no football for nearly 3 weeks is driving me mad!!! and i cant wait to see Doyle's new haircut! have seen the pictures but wanna see what it looks like when he's on the pitch! (he's gone for a very different style and had it shaved!! must find a pic to post.) but seriously i cant wait - its going to be a huge game for the team, fans and the club in general. so much so, that they have made it a theme day and we usually only have those on the last game of the season! so sunday is now - 'blue and white day' meaning that they are trying to get everyone to wear the team colours, be it the team kit or other blue and white clothes, to take flags with them, etc - u know the sort of thing!!! it could be a fun day (final day of the season - beach day is always a laugh).
anyway better go and try to eat something before the man u match starts!!
