Long day today... Lit was fun though. We were discussing emotion, feelings, and nature vs. reason, logic, and science in relation to a couple of lines from an e.e. cummings poem and a Walt Whitman poem. Then she asked someone to tell her where these lines came from for a piece of camera:
Questions of science, science and progress/Do not speak as loud as my heart
Terence literally jumped out of his seat and yelled out Coldplay, "The Scientist". Terence is just not someone I would expect to know it right away. And then Julie asked him to sing some other lines, so they sang a couple more and after she gave him his candy, she had him go to the front of the class and sing the rest of what he knew.
Nene wanted some candy too, so she started singing "Drops of Jupiter". Too bad I don't like Train. Still, it was funny to hear Nene sing it with Julie. No candy for her though since she couldn't relate it back to the topic.
