Interesting night

I went to a party last night at my sisters friends house. Laura. It was to be a party with a good sized handful of people. It certainly was. Laura bought a keg for the occasion, and everyone was whooping it up, and drinking like it was the last of the earths beer supply. Many games of beer-pong were going on, and it was quite entertaining.
I did not drink again, not one single sip. I think for the most part getting drunk at other peoples houses is not something I want to do. I like being able to drive home whenever I feel like. I like knowing that I am not crashing on someone else's couch because I am too wasted to drive. I have never driven home drunk. The closest I have come to that is 1 beer, maybe 2 then driving home close to 3 hours later.
The last time I drank hard was my 21st birthday. I got massively sick from it, and I dislike throwing up so much I try my best to never put myself in that situation. It's also not a bad thing for me not to drink at events like this. Usually they say that they are going to have a bbq, but everyone starts drinking so quickly, that the food is soon forgotten about. Like last night. I was able to leave at the point of realization that there was to be no food on the grill, and hit up McDonalds for a grilled chicken salad, and a fruit and yogurt parfait. While the rest of the masses were drinking their dinner.
It also makes it so I can drive people home if needed, and go for "beer runs" if they run out. I'm just nice like that I guess. Well, and I don't want to read in the paper the next day of someones drunk driving escapade that landed them in the morgue, and know that I was at the same party, and knew that person.
(And it's more fun for me to watch the drunks play beer-pong when I am sober.)
So this lands me at a question I never thought I would be asking myself. Am I going to be the DD for the rest of my life? I'm not asking myself in a bad way, but I never thought I would be happy just watching people drink at a party. I always thought I had to drink too, to have fun.

On another note. I am starting to bench weights at the gym. Last night before the party I went to work out, and thought to myself... "I used to bench 90 back in Jr. High. I'm sure in no time at all I will be back up there." Hell, at work I did enough heavy lifting of things that I knew I would not have to start out benching the bar. So here was last nights workout....

Treadmill at a walking pace for warm-up. 10min.
Increase to jog for 10min.
Elliptical 10min.
Leg Press @ 60lbs x 35
Bench @ 65lbs x 10, break, re-stretch arms, do another 10 reps. (wish I could cry in public)
Bicep Curls @ 15lbs x 10 each side.
Tricep workout with 10lbs x 10 each side.
Woman Push ups. (knees on ground) x 25
Pilaties(sp?)Style sit ups. 10 centered, 10 left side, 10 right side.
Yoga style stretches to end the night feeling a little more limber.

Trainer says next time we are upping the reps a little more (*weep*)

Who even WANTS to drink after a workout like that. I was reluctant to get in the shower. It's been a while since those muscles have gotten any real use.
