Close. They actually said our billboard fund was a scam. Oh wait, they didn't say that, they instead suggested it might be, then linked to some blogger who said it was.
Seriously. It's a total disgrace that a real news source would publish something like that on their site. Even worse, they didn't even contact anyone at savethescc.com for a statement.
I can understand them wanting to warn people that it might be a scam or a waste of money, since con artists probably have set up fake save our show scams in the past, and the billboards might not actually help to get the show put back on the air.
But for Christ's sake they should have at least contacted the people behind the campaign to get a statement!
You know, tell both sides of the story and let people decide for themselves whether or not they want to donate to the Save TSCC campaign.
Anything less than that is just opinion and speculation, NOT serious respectable journalism.
