Whilst perusing my flist, I came across a link to this little travel-map thingy. So of course I had to do one.

I've been to 33 states (66% of the United States). I've traveled through all of these states by car, by the way. Not too bad, eh? But I obviously need to come up with a reason to hit Kentucky. I don't like that hole in the map staring ( Read more... )

Wow that's a pretty good demarcation for across the lower 48! I know a lot of people who haven't been to that many states.

I've got 9 to go. 2 I'll check off in September and hopefully a few more next Summer. I've got one of the Dakotas that I've never been to that I likely never will. But then again, never say never I guess.

KY is my favorite. I've been a million times. Keeneland in April or October is a good excuse. :)

That's a lot of travels!
I'm not sure horse racing can lure me to Kentucky, but I'll find a reason to go there one of these days.

Wigwams, giant tire rim woman, big baseball bat, ventriloquist creepiness... You make a good case for Kentucky. Maybe next year I'll plan a trip there.

I found out about this festival when I met Barry Grimes while paddling in Canada. I've only attended once, but it's a reason to visit Kentucky!
