Fringe & the super!baby
Before I get into this, I need to reiterate how much I loathe where Fringe has already told us it's going and loathe even more where I think it's going. The whole *love will save the universe* thing is beyond bleh. But, I need to get my speculation out after watching tonight's episode (an episode that I thought was very cool).

it didn't actually bother me since this was a total flashback episode. Olivia was there, it was just a younger version ;)
All of Olivia's super-capabilities are due to her treatment with cortexiphan, starting at age 3. The writers would have to retcon capabilities into AltLiv. Right?
Here's what I'm thinking: We recently learned that cortexiphan mimics a naturally occurring chemical reaction in the brain (or something like that). So maybe both Olivia's were actually born with this ability to cross over and the cortexiphan was really more of a short cut. It sped up the process, made it easier to tap into the ability.
this episode rather messes up the theory that most people held to: That Olivia would have been too young to remember. She was three. Now, though, they've established that she was still in treatment at least until about 7-8!
Oh, you know what? I just realized my theory actually explains some of that. If I'm right and the Olivia who we saw tonight crossed over and stayed on the other side, then the Olivia who met Peter in the pilot would've been meeting him for the first time. It doesn't explain why Peter wouldn't have remembered her, though, or why Olivia wouldn't have remembered Walter.
