a need to seed

Why do I always feel an obligation to seed after downloading? People tell me I'm a sucker. They tell me I should bail the second I get my file and leave the seeding to people with T1/T3 connections. I don't understand people who -don't- seed. Is it really so hard to leave your computer running? I'm still seeding Captain Star which I downloaded in early September because no one else is and I think it's worthy of being kept alive.

I always seed. I feel guilty if I don't.

Plus Mother always taught me to share with others.

I don't do that stuff, but for you I'd bake a cake with a hacksaw blade inside.

I always seed. Just seems considerate to me. After all, I was the guy on the other side of the equation not so long ago, grateful that there were people out there seeding for me.

I might not keep BT going the whole time, but it starts automatically when my computer does, so I often wind up seeding for quite a while, especially if it's something that I really like and/or think has a tragic lack of seeders and want to help share with the world. (I've got one that's been seeding the better part of a year, and has reuploaded 312 times over. Because I care. *g*)
