You know that pain in my head I mentioned, and the whole Imitrex situation? Well, I actually ended up going to the doctor yesterday. The pain was fine in morning, then all of a sudden the pain came really bad and I got really dizzy. So I called the clinic and got an appointment at 2:30pm my regular doctor's partner, since he has Tuesday afternoons off. She started with the normal put the stethescope on the back and check the breathing thing. I breathed in through my nose, and nothing was registering. She told me to breath in through my mouth, then it registered. She then checked my nostrils, and sure enough, they're totally blocked. Which is ironic, because when I was trying to fall asleep on Monday, I told my husband that I felt like I wasn't getting any air through my nose. Well, that explains it! Then she checked my ears, and both my ears have fluid in them. So she's thinking it's something with my sinuses, but she scheduled a CAT scan (which is at 8am Thursday morning) just to make sure it's not a tumor. Also, with a CAT scan, they'll be able to see all the build up in my sinuses. Now we've just REALLY gotta hope and pray that the CAT scan comes back 100% normal. She prescribed Amoxicillin which I'll have to take 3 times a day for 3 weeks to fight off any infection that I have, and she also prescribed Loratadine, which is an antihistamine, that I have to take once a day for the next 30 days. It's just so strange, this whole sinus thing, considering I'm not blocked up or anything. And it's also strange that the last time I was at the doctor for this (June 8th), that the other doctor didn't notice any of this. I mean, she checked my ears and didn't notice anything, but she didn't check my nostrils. Whatever, I really didn't care for her anyway. She was SO CERTAIN it was migraines, and just sent me on my way with migraine medicine. So I've been taking all sorts of migraine medicine, and to no avail, so it's obviously not mirgraine. Hopefully it IS just sinus, and these meds will kick it out of my system once and for all.
