For my Field Production II I have to write a script for a five to ten minute narrative movie. I have a few ideas but they kind of suck. I was thinking about maybe doing a story about a girl and her really bad day. It would start off with her waking up late. Burning herself on her flat iron and then spilling coffee on herself on her way to work. Once at work she has a meeting with her boss only to find out shes getting laid off because of budget cuts. After getting fired she gets a call from her boyfriend who says they need to talk. She assumes he is going to ask her to marry him but he is actually going to dump her. After he dumps her he ditches her at the restaraunt with the bill. She goes to light up a cigarette but is told that there is no smoking in the restaraunt. On the way home she passes a homeless guy on the street and she goes to get her wallet to give him some change only to find out she left her wallet at the restaraunt. As so turns around to go back for her wallet she finds a lottery ticket on the ground. Its has the winning numbers on it. When all is starting to look up she is hit by a car crossing the street. The ticket flutters from her hand onto the curb where the homeless guy picks it up. That is where it ends.
It isn't that good but it is a start. Also keep in mind that is was a really overcast day today when I wrote this. Had it been sunny and bright I'm sure the story would have been a little less sick. For some reason even though she is hit by a car I still think the end is perfect and funny. I have always been a fan of dark comedies so I figure that is what kind of movies I would make and honestly I think I want to be an editor not a writer or a director. So I am looking forward to puting the movie together more than actually writing and filming it.
