So now that I have had a second to calm down, and realize that there is no more up yet, I want to take a minute to write a more thoughtful comment.
I loved this fic, and not just because I feel like you hooked a hose up to my brain and extracted every one of my narrative kinks and then wrote them all down better than I ever could.
You captured the characters and voices of Holmes and Watson, and their reactions are agonizingly believable as you put them through the wringer (as someone trying, and failing, to write good Holmes whump at the moment, that's no mean feat.)
You make me believe in their love for each other so very much, which makes everything they're forced to do to each other hurt even more. So much emotional manipulation, and I love how it just strips Holmes in particular bare to have his trust in Watson ripped away from him. You've got a knack for twisting the knife, and I love it.
So, thanks again for this. I really hope an epilogue is eventually forthcoming. I can't wait to see where Holmes and Watson go from here and how they start to unravel all the damage that's been done to them.
