still can't get over the good fortune of having this icon! it is funny, holiday-themed, AND has a picture of john krasinski in it.
am very conflicted about GG right now. is it better than last season? is it going downhill? what is up with rory? why is she such a brat? why did last night's episode end like it did? isn't lorelai happy with christopher? i am just so confused. where is kirk in all of this?
aside from watching GG, last night i:
- napped
- wrote out rent cheques for next three months
- made shopping list for ingredients to stuffed pasta shells and vegan ginger-macadamia nut-coconut-carrot cake with coconut icing. this is kind of funny because the stuffed pasta shells have, like, three different types of cheese and are very much the antithesis of veganism. i am making these things for saturday, when TSM's family is coming over for his dad's birthday party. we've never had them all over at once. this is nerve-wracking but also makes me feel mature and grown-up!
- washed dishes
- read some of Crow Lake. i haven't been able to get into a book for a month or two, so i am hoping that this is the one that will stop this trend.
- had a very mental conversation with TSM about the space-time contiuum, black holes, and steven hawking. both of us were art majors who know practically nothing about science, so this conversation was mental in that neither of us knew what we were talking about and yet we were able to keep up a confusing conversation for about 15 minutes. all i know is that black holes are so messed up!
- regretted that i am not American so not only do i not have Target and Caribou Coffee, but i don't get the rest of the week off to eat pumpkin products. the horror.
