g'day m'ladies! (and m'gents. all two of you). yes, the reason i didn't write anything yesterday was because i was taking a seminar on "how to speak like australian gentry".
this week is busier than most because my fellow Office Bitch has reneged on her Bitch Duties (her Buties?) and is actually in England and Italy. bitch! so instead of eating chips and curry in flats and lifts, and instead of licking pistachio gelato on a venetian gondola, i will be answering phones in the afternoons. such glamour! such prestige! such sarcasm!
so yesterday after work i stopped in at Toys 'R Us to buy my semi-neice a birthday present. she is turning 5 and her whole life revolves around Bratz, those scary, alien headed dolls that are more fashionable than my Barbies EVER were. i ended up getting a Bratz Kidz doll (do you think 20 and 30 years from now, all the doctors and lawyers who were raised on Bratz will spell everything with "z"? like "here are your prescriptionz" or "please sign these affadavitz"). so i got one of those and also a Bratz Tent(z?) with little plastic hot dogs and cans of pop and a little fire pit to start an interest in arson as soon as possible. i hope she likes it.
i also stopped in at a clothing store and saw some beautiful Winter coats. i've never had much luck with Winter coats. they always make me feel bloated and awkward. but there was one in particular that i think i may have fallen in love with; the best thing and worst thing about it is that it's white. white says beauty and class and is so different than the usual shades of Winter coats around here (black, navy blue, dark red). but white also says dirt and muck and easily stained! i spend a lot of time on the streets (not that way) and they can get really slushy and messy. it is inevitable that this muck will transfer to the coat. but...but...white...is...perfect (taken out of context, the previous sentence could get me into a lot of trouble!). anyway, i am not sure what to do. what do you recommend?
aside from that very serious and important conundrum, i spent most of last night taking it easy (does this shock you?). Gilmore Girls was good, but i did find myself flipping through a magazine during the parts that bored me...
CUT FOR SPOILERS
...specifically the town meeting concerning the pickle smell. also, i understood why rory freaked a bit on logan during their dinner (i'd be upset too if i thought my partner and i were going to have a romantic dinner alone but then it turns out his business partners - including a leggy blonde - were joining us)(which reminds me that on our 6 month anniversary, TSM made dinner for me...and his roommates. but we won't go there right now). so i understand why rory was upset, but she was clearly irrational. and i didn't really understand why lorelai was all up in christopher's business, but the fact that shari is back in the picture smells like trouble to me! lastly, i found richard and emily very funny in this episode, especially since they were having such a great time when lorelai was obviously miserable and then got all pissy when she was back to normal. that is so classic of them. anyway, as i told
ladygwyn, i give this episode 3.5 stars hollows out of 5.
there's not too much on the agenda this week. yoga tonight. The Office tomorrow. eating atop the CN Tower in a revolving restaurant in celebration of the eve of my 25th birthday on friday. la di da.
