swedish fish in my belly
ah, packages! i love them and need them and am always accepting them with open arms. today i received two packages in the mail. one from vikarious and one from snoopturtle. i would be package-less without my internet friends, and that would be a travesty.
THANK YOU KARI!!!!!!!!!!!!! yours was sitting on the coffee table when i got home. before ripping it open, though, i had to go to the post office to pick up snoop's because hers was too pudgy to fit through my mail slot (DIRTY). so i got hers, came back, and opened yours. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. the huge package (hot) of swedish fish, the sweet note written on that sexxxy stationary, and those thank you cards. those cards are perfect! they have pictures of coffee mugs on them and they say "thanks a latte". so cute! and perfect for me.
THANK YOU TARA!!!!!!!!! she got me two smaller packs of swedish fish (except the fish themselves are bigger...interesting), some nerds ropes (i've had them before but they aren't available in canada), some pop rocks, and chewing gum that looks like chewing tobacco, along with a card with an awesome quote (i love quotes). basically, her entire package is a cavity waiting to happen, but it will be worth it because it is all delicious.
so here is my much-awaited review of swedish fish: they are delicious! they are tender and only get stuck in my molars a tiny bit. their flavour is classy, not cheap. i appreciate that. but wouldn't you know, they taste exactly like Big Feet...you know the candies you buy at the convenience store for 5 cents each? i am not sure they have them in the u.s. perhaps they are just the canadian equivalent of swedish fish? i think i prefer the swedish fish, though, because they come in the plastic wrapper and are therefore more tender. i've only ever had big feet out of a bin so they are tougher and more chewy.
america 2, canada 1 (for the whole year-long maternity leave thing).
so after chowing down on swedish fish, i ate 3/4s of a rising crust vegetable pizza and am now glad i decided to put my pyjama pants on BEFORE this smorgasbord because i am feeling really chubsy. i am going to put the kettle on for green tea and will sip it while reading until all of the good television comes on.
life is good.
