viva la scone
it's not seasonally appropriate, but i got a pumpkin scone from starby's today and it was amazing. i think it is my favourite flavour of scone with the blueberry white chocolate flavour coming in at a close second. coupled with a coffee, there is hardly anything better.
during lunch, i was reminded by youngspinster about my plans to buy a father's day card for TSM from Snugs. yes...this is getting into potentially lame territory, but our relationship with the Doctor is bordering on psychotic, so we might as well make it entirely psychotic and pretend she's our child, right? so i got him a card from her and a bag of those hershey's kissable chocolates. i am sure he will like it.
i am between books right now and feel a bit lost. i don't think i can finish The Sea because it is awfully sad and depressing to be reading this time of year. right now, i am all about fashion magazines and chicklit. i have a bunch of things on reserve that i'm anxious to get my hands on, but nothing has come in yet. a kazuo ishiguro novel caught my eye at the library today, but it's a 7 day loan and i don't think i can get through it in a week. that's an added stress that i just don't want.
