So yes I am moving!
Yay yay yay!
I have been in the beaches for 5 years now and although I love the neighbourhood I am ready for a change! I am so happy about being close to school, and Kensington! And yes the clubs-not having to wait forever for a streetcar or spend a small fortune on a cab every weekend will be awesome! I will miss some things and some things will drive me nuts about being back down town . . . but I will visit and hopefully be able to enjoy the beaches more when I am here than I do now!
It is almost spooky though-I have not hunted for an apartment in 10 years! Places come up through people I know, and I mean good places! One was at the corner of Queen and Spadina, large shared place for cheap, and this one-a nice bachelor for super cheap! And I am always able to manage being able to take them! And now this one! When I got back from my trip for a few weeks I had my heart settled on the idea of moving, but after a little bit of looking I got discouraged cuz I wasn’t finding anything in my price range in an area I wanted to be in. And then poof…here’s an apartment just barely in my price range in area I love, above the store that was once my second home! And I have someone who is in need of place and is going to take over mine as soon as I am out-how convenient!
I know asking people to help me on here is lame-and I’m sure most will ignore the request anyway, that’s fine ~ I had to put it out there that’s all! This has all transpired in 5 days and school starts in 2 weeks-so I would love to be as settled as possible then-yes I am a dreamer! The place really needs to be painted and I need to sort out what furniture I need!
On that note ~ I am looking for some furniture-desk, kitchen table/bar type unit/material to build such a thing, and a loveseat/easy chair. Since I am a recycling nut I would rather find this than buy new…no it is not because I am cheap, I just find people are often throwing things out that are in very good shape!
