Big News!
So, for those of you who don't stalk my Facebook updates, you may be a little bit out of the loop on this one... but... I got a new computer!!! :D
As you guys know (or, maybe you don't know), I'm something of a Mac fan... I grew up with them, so I just feel like I understand them better. However, Sims seems to be the exception to their rule of superiority. (Just kidding.. I think PCs are just as good as Macs, they are just good at different things) I have been contemplating getting a PC for Sims for a long time, after countless stupid custom content issues and crashing and freezing and lagging issues (which I know are not Mac-specific, but... my Mac isn't very powerful xD)
SO, I decided I'd saved up enough, and went and bought an HP Pavilion g6. It is AMAZING!!! Here, have some pictures.
Here it is when we first took it out of the box! (My wonderful amazing boyfriend has helped me every step of the way <3)
Yay yay yay! (Lol, you can see all my Sims discs in the background xD And the corner of my sweet little Mac, too, lol)
Installing Sims! Yay!!!
But, very, very long story short, we had a TON of technical difficulties installing Pets. The files got corrupted or something, and we could not get them off my computer. We tried for 4 hours yesterday. (Did I mention my boyfriend is amazing? :3) Finally we just wiped the whole computer, set it back to factory settings, and did everything again. I am currently up to the point I was at pre-Pets: Richmonds and Carraways are working, Store content is downloaded, and I am also turning my graphics up ALL THE WAY.. Because I CAN. It's amazing!!!! You guys, I have never played on such a smooth, gorgeous machine!
I just REEEEEALLY hope Pets works this time!!!!!!! Wish me luck!!!
