So, I hung out with Steph yesterday and we finally did our "Noelle and Kate Go on Vacation" photoshoot. It was definitely a creative shoot since there is nothing in South Florida that even somewhat resembles a Gothic cathedral. We basically ran around to different places on Saniel Island and made it somewhat out of character fun photoshoot.
We started out in front of the only cool looking church on the island. Donning sunglasses and red flowers in our hair, we played up the island feel since there was no way we could hide the tons of palm trees everywhere. We then went to a little coffee shop and took pictures having tea and discussing important topics such as Abel waxing the Iron Maiden and how Kate would find some way to kick his butt if he scratched even though she is a hologram thingy.
We then headed out to Bowman's Beach, and ran into a news team from WINK, a local news channel. We successfully avoided them long enough to get some good pictures walking the beach and playing on the playground. But I think they recorded us as we were leaving. Of course, I forgot to stay up and watch the news to see if they used the clip...
Our next stop was the cemetary at Chapel by the Sea. It was the oldest place on the island, so therefore we thought we could get some good pictures there. We ended up the most awesome picture with a stone cross. Oh goodnes, I don't even think I could accurately describe, other than we were able to finally make Kate look like a hologram...
Our last stop of the evening was the bar at The Mucky Duck. We had a drink while waiting on the sun to start setting and had some fun conversations with other people there and the owner. He made me take off my wig to prove that my ID was acutally mine and then said that I looked a lot younger without the wig. Then it was out to the beach.
Needless to say, we got a lot of looks and comments while running around in our Trinity Blood artbook nun costumes. A few people stopped up and asked what we were doing. We played it simple and told them they were Halloween costumes and that we were running around in them because I'm moving to Korea this weekend and they don't have Halloween there. Everyone took it in stride and we even had several people ask to take pictures of us (most of the people on Sanibel and Captiva are tourists). We got a lot of good comments and stuff and had a lot of fun and got some really good sunset shots.
And that's about it for my day yesterday. Now I'm just sitting around waiting for FedEx to show up with my visa. I'm packed and my stuff that is staying is moved out to the garage. And miraculously, my bags weigh under 50 pounds. Hooray! Oh, and I suppose I need to go get my traveler's checks too...
