Fun Day

So, I just got back from cosplay shopping with Shokora and I must admit, it so much more fun when you have someone with you. Especially if that someone brings a Trinity Blood artbook and has made all the crazy accessories before and can help pick out materials.

But anyway, we had a lot of fun and I picked up all the supplies to finish my artbook Kate. We're planning a photoshoot sometime before I leave which I'm excited about. That also means that I need to get started on finishing up her accessories. ^_^ I'm just happy that I finally figured out how to make the under-arm holster. Oh, and that I found a friend here that I can enjoy hanging out with. It was so fun to just talk about things and have someone with the same interests. And of course we talked about more than just cosplay. We talked about our families and our jobs (she's a vet), and yea. It was great!!!

So, yea, that's about all for our fun day of shopping. ^_^

But now we all must take a moment to mourn the loss of my red hair. Yes, that's right. I finally dyed it back to my natural color. I am officially a brunette again. I really didn't want to chance Korean hair dye, so I decided to go to a natural color and not dye it anymore. Plus, taking a break from all that dying is just a good, healthy thing for my hair anyway. So here's my new look...

It still has a little red in it, but that's purely coincidental...

Oh, and I think I've finally found a good idea for a book. I'm planning on starting to write it after dinner. Idea for it have been churning through my head all day. The working title (it'll probably change) is Stitched: The Life and Times of a Cosplayer. Yes, that's right. I'm going to write a novel about a cosplayer, drawing mainly on personal experience. It's going to be humorous and hopefully great.

I was just sitting in Barnes and Noble waiting for Stephanie to get there, reading a book about freelance writing when the idea hit me. I had been looking for that one idea that no one had done yet and I started thinking about writing something about cosplaying. No one has done anything on it yet, and I think that it just might be a quirky enough topic that it would sell. Plus it's a novel where I could serious just write what I know. I have tons of silly stories about cosplay. Of course, I can always throw in some sort of life lesson if I want to. I don't know if I will, just because I really don't think there is much of a life lesson to learn from cosplaying...

But anyway, I'll probably get started on it soon. I might post a few chapters or so on my LJ, just to get some feedback. I'm really hoping that this is a book that I'll seriously finish...

Anywho, I suppose that's all from me! I'm thinking about getting started on some Trinity Blood stuff. ^_^
