I need help!

Here's my problem:
I packed for the trip and I have too much stuff. I'd really like to take my silk stuff (wire, silk, sissors, the small work box) and my binder of stuff. Then there are the essentials that I use everyday (toothpaste, lotion, all in travel size) and the computer, e-reader, travel guides. Maybe I have too many clothes? 4 bottoms, six tops, a pair of pajamas, a jacket and a sweater (I'm always cold). I don't think the socks and underwear are the problem. The suit case is large enough but I'm concerned about having to haul all that stuff around and the last time I went on vacation for three weeks I swore that next time I was only taking a change of underwear and a toothbrush.
Since this trip is all about the silk then I really have to take it with me. I suppose I could take fewer clothes but how practical is that going to be?
What are your thoughts on the practical aspects of traveling? I want to hear what it's important to bring and what you would have left at home if you had to do it over again...
