Last week included my birthday and I received a few happy birthdays.

In the early morning of Tuesday, April the third, my brother waited outside a theatre at CalTech from 2am to get tickets to see Stephen Hawking give a lecture. =)
Normally, scientifically minded people are ackward, but Stephen Hawking has an amazingly sharp wit. His friend and colleague said that while Hawking builds his sentences during conversations, one can't be sure if he's going to give a serious answer or tell a joke.

Over the weekend, my family went out for my birthday dinner and rather than the usual Old Tony's, Stuart Anderson's, or La Villa, I convinced my parents to have us go out for sushi. My mom was open to the idea of eating sushi and she did eat quite a bit, but next time I think she will try the tempura (which my dad thoroughly enjoyed).

Sunday morning, David, Eder, Carl, and I went bowling at Gable House. We managed to do absolutely terrible; Only David scored above 100. The eight year-old in the next lane was able to bowl higher scores than Eder, Carl, and me, which earned "wtf" looks and jokes about our terrible tossing.
On the way out, I noticed Gable House upgraded their DDR machine to ITG2. Two pre-teen girls were playing and watching the arrows fly up the screen... I felt a need to furiously stop arrows. Luckily the guys dragged me out before I could waste money.
