-cramming in the week and 2 BIG news-

Mar 07, 2010 23:42

Ok...There's some really big news but I want to let out the small ones as well so SUPERSONIC SPEED HERE I GO!! -kapwing!-

Wednesday: There was no work. Was glad for that because I won't have to be a zombie in the tennis court. While playing tennis I lost to J-bro twice and wish that he would stop being so egoistic about it. And he wonders why C-bro and I try to defeat him with our dying will.

Thursday: Wasn't suppose to work as I wasn't scheduled for work but at 11am my supervisor (Alex) called and asked if I can work at 12pm. I said yes and regretted my answer AFTER I put down the phone when I realised that my uniform just came out of the washing machine WET D:
I still went to work. After desperately drying my uniform in front of my fan at maximum speed. Mani and I ate our luch really late as the customers didn't come in a torrent at a specific time but trickled in slowly at all times. Needless to say, I have to tell my supervisor "I want to EAT!!!" when I couldn't take it anymore. It was 4 something close to 5 DX

Friday: Pen is here!!!!!! "Oh my goodness, Pen what happened? Don't you know Alex called and asked me to work yesterday? Oh, and you know Mani said that he just walked past the restaurant and Alex just called him over?" Lawl...yeah...I just burst into talk everytime I see Pen. I freaked out at the tables arranged in a long row like -gasps- that fateful day D: And i saw that it was -double gasp- Vince for supervisor that day. Ohpleasepleasepleaselethimnotscoldmeatall. Thank God he was alright -phew- The table was manageable as the customers were an older age group than that fateful day.
At around 2 something to 3 something my stomach was aching unbearably. Pen advised me to keep moving but at times it kills to move. In the end, I asked Vince if I could go home. I spend the entire time from 3 something to 4 wandering around the mall trying to find a place to reload my phone as it has ran out of credit before the attendee at the info booth directed me to the photo shop. I called my mom but she said she wasn't at home so I just walked home and got my umbrella ready because the skies were looking dark. Orz....rain, why are you so heavy? I got home drenched, took a bath and slept my pain away.

Now, big news -jeng,jeng,jeng-
I. got. accepted. for...... BRATs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before you go "WHUT", let me explain. BRATs stands for Bright, Roving, Annoying Teens and it's a journalism workshop for young aspiring journalist from the ages of 16-19. Oh, and it's organised by the local paper, The Star.
I had applied for the workshop around February and prayed that my write-up will capture the attention of the commitee and hope that I had included everything required for the biodata. And on Thursday, I opened my hotmail account and ohmygodnessasagskjshgahfdshk I'M SELECTED \o/ and to my horror read that the deadline to reply to that email was 6pm THAT day! (checked email at 9pm) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I shouted for my mom to read the email (as she plays a very prominent role in this by pushing me to enter) and she suggested that I reply straightaway with an apology and an explanation. So I did that while calling my mom at regular intervals to check if there's anything else I need to say and more importantly how to end it (mom is an expert in letters) After sending the email, I continue chatting with my cousin and put it out of mind for time being.

The next day, I GOT THE LETTER agdskkahlkjdsfohmygoodnessI'mofficiallyacceptedthankGod

Another big news -JENG,JENG,JENG-
March 11th will be the day of my doom the release of my results. Half of the candidates around the nation are going NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (or maybe most of them) Half of them wish that it'll come out later and this half have going around telling other people that March 16th is when the results come out (seriously people...where on earth do you get these dates????) Mani didn't believe me when I told him it was March 11th and insists it was March 16th while going 'Scared lah D:" Pen doesn't believe me either and intends to find out from the teachers themselves as she still goes back to school for Karate. Grah...seriously why on earth don't they believe me when I had a more reliable source (the newspaper online) than the half that goes around confounding people with the March 16th date?
As for me, I feel nervous yes but I'm keeping it cool by not freaking people out by freaking. (though the term "March 11th" is enough to scare the wits out of any of us) And I think it's better to just get it over with instead of wishing that the release date is later. I can only hope that my results are alright....I NEED a scholarship badly ><

My weekend was great!! I loved my AIM class. I loved the teacher who is my favourite pastor. I loved my classmates; so what if there are more adults than youths? We are a small class and because of that, I am sure we'll bond well^^ And, I loved the AIM library!!! Some of the books may be old but what's written in them is interesting. I even found one on journalism and most of The Left Behind Series is here!! \o/

Oh yes, and I finished another book (it's J-bro's but I don't think he read it yet as usual) It's called Resistence by Craig Simpson and tells of the German occupation in Norway during WW2.

And that's all I have to say...

brats, exams, work, writing
