Hello~ Hope you'd a good Christmas and cheers to the coming new year!^^
And now for some overdue news on Comic Fiesta~!
Before
*Finding out the date from a college friend, Karis and spazzing together
*Letting my bro know, getting him excited and he asked if he could come along with his friends
*The more the merrier :)
*Replying to Pen's email and invited her in the process
*Tried to piece together Len's Nantonaku look. Failed orz
*Pen said yes! WHEEE
*Bug J-bro to let his friends know about ticket pricing, transportation, etc.
*Found out 2 days before that Jo Yi (father's colleague's daughter and my friend) would be leaving to Singapore soon and there'll be a farewell dinner on that night after CF.
*Invited her. She said YES!
*Day before, she asked if her little bro could tag along and he has no intention of keeping C-bro company. Oh well...
Prep and Travel
*Rush to the bathroom after tennis
*J-bro leaves house with mom to pick up his friends, Liz and Charles
*Dress, stuff bag full of necessities, fill wallet, dried hair, answered calls, yadda yadda yadda
*Jo Yi and her little bro, Ching Wen arrived
*Mom came back for us and sent us to the train station where J-bro and co. were waiting
*Looks like it's the first time for most people on the train /smells adventure
*Interchange to the monorail
*Chat fandom :D
*Jeng, jeng, jeng.. We have arrived at our destination; Time Square!
So close...
*Now to locate Manhattan Hotel's Ballroom... where do we go??
*/spots a girl dress in Lolli stuff /spots cosplayers along the way /stalks them to find the way
*They were all waiting for the lifts which don't seem to be letting anyone in...
*/sees Karis Fangirl, crazy and random mode on!
*Decided to take the escalators all the way to the highest floor and take the lift from there
*Karis and Liz suddenly became really hyper and raced each other all the way up o.o
*The waiting of the lifts continues D:
*LIFT OH MY GOODNESS LIFT IT'S HERE /SQUEEZES IN
*Lift stops halfway and the people waiting outside couldn't come in but no one closed the lift doors which prompted Karis to say, "Close the door, lawl, close the door" which got every one in the lift laughing
*Ding~! OH MY GOODNESS WE'RE HERE /got a little too excited that I was holding on to some stranger's shoulder when we got out of the lift and didn't realised it until Karis pointed it out to me //////// Thank God that person didn't know...
*Karis disappeared to find her friends and get her tickets while I got in line to buy everyone's tickets
*The ticket line is too looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog. I resolved to order them online next time...
*Distribution of tickets. Jo Yi got a call from a friend to get tickets for them so I was in charge of her little bro who gets to go in for free. Lucky fellow~
In that moment of awesome
*Navigates way with Ching Wen
*Man, is this place crowded or crowded?
*Made our way to the Doujin booths, browsing and making plans of what to buy
*Some stuff are too irresistible to not buy /buys on the spot
*Got call from Pen, who had just arrived so tried to meet her trying to navigate our way out to get a drink for the thirsty boy I'm dragging along
*Met Jo Yi at the entrance as she just got in and she tagged along
*Met a couple of her friends outside the hall. There was Joey in Lolli stuff and Lam who was this emo looking L squatting at a corner while we talked. He responded to a bag of Nips that Jo Yi waved at his face and sulked when she didn't let him have it.
*We went on our journey to find a drink for the thirsty young boy and ended up down in the mall because hotel's soft drinks are freakishly expensive.
*We went back up via the hotel's lift. It's so illegal it's fun(and way faster) 8D
*Suddenly J-bro and co. SMS-ed to go out for lunch as a group. Met up and went back down from whence we came
*Pizza is the way to go~ <3 And after lunch it was back the way we go up before. Nihihihihi.....
*And now, it's time to let Jo Yi go amongst the booths of Doujin and resume fangirling
*The group cosplay competition was in session and Ching Wen was really eager to watch it so I left him at a spot that he could view the the stage and told him to call me if anything and went on to splurge
*After deeming that I had enough, I went back to where I left Ching Wen to catch the remaining groups that have yet to perform. Jo Yi join us as we laugh and cheer on the cosplayers.
*I called Pen and we met up, with Joyi and Ching Wen in tow. While we catch up, I saw Victor! And a little while after that, Zhi Wen!
*Went to find a spot to sit near the stage as we're all tired from standing and walking around the whole day!
*Random stage games, events and performances never fail to entertain =w=b
Leaving
*Time was of essence and we decided to get moving especially after J-bro and co. called
*Aw man... The hotel got pissed at all the random people misusing their lifts and so barred anyone from going down or up D8
*We waited for for what seem like an eternity to go up and did the same to leave
*Back to the monorail and train. The adventure ends
After
*Jo Yi's father came around and we spent the few minutes waiting for J-bro and mom to get back from sending his friends home talking and spazzing about CF
*Off to the Japanese Club to have dinner (first time going there /giddy)
*Waited for another of dad's colleague and family as they have the password o.o
*Enter; Oh my goodness, the restaurant there has mangas! But they are all in Jap... ;A;
*OM NOM NOM NOM TIME
*Cake time! No idea what to sing with the candles burning there though ;; So there were lots of delays for Jo Yi to blow off her candles.
*Fooled around with Jo Yi's "It's a trap" badge and a piece of chocolate that had well wishes on it XD
*Home and goodbye...

Though I'm not really comfortable with asking cosplayers to pose for me so none of that *shot* But, this is my first time doing this:
My purchases of that day~! (Always wanted to do this <3)
All this small stuff cost so much together it's insane to think that I've spent about 70 bucks on them all excluding tickets for me, my bro and Jo Yi and lunch. And I have reasons for buying each and every one of them so 'll be zooming in:
First off, the Vocaloid bookmark sets. All are irresistible and are quite reasonable priced (eg. 2 bucks for whole set) That is definitely a plus point for getting sets and another would be if EVERYONE looks good (and they do here =w=b). Booyah moment.
More Vocaloid-centric stuff with a very obvious LenRin or Just Len bias. Here onwards I think the sets are a little too costly or I just can't resist my bias or who looks nice so ehehe ;;
Durarara!! The stickers (Psychedelic Izaya (?) and um Kimono Shizuo (?)) are too cute! >w< And those bookmarks <3 The doujin um... was supposed to be a gift if it was yaoi which turns out it isn't (unless you squint really hard) so I think no and the grammar, oh my goodness! I seriously think that doujin-kas need an editor to proof read their language and am wondering if I should offer my services... /dreams {btw, I owe someone long overdue presents. Guess who you are and what you'll be getting :3}
Got this Syaoran bookmark with the Shizuo and Izaya bookmarks~ Blame Syaoran on my shota fetish (but you got to admit he's cute yes? 8] )
The miscellaneous of miscellaneous! Being a Gurren-tard means that I cannot pass up that heaven-piercing awesomeness of a keychain which is the the Dai Gurren Brigade symbol!! The Naruto badge on the above right is the cheapest badge at 2.50 and the cutest~! (Sasuke's too gay as usual pfft) Alois and Claude is a gift to the same person mentioned above unless someone else wants them, they are up for grabs~
These aren't just any Bleach stuff. They came all the way from Thailand! Made and drawn by the one and only pandabaka on DeviantART!!!! Oh my goodness, pandabaka! Here! IN MALAYSIA FOR COMIC FIESTAAAAAAAAA
Unfortunately by this time I couldn't afford more of the badges as my wallet started to cough up moths ;A; the Byakuya over there is really a calendar and is offered free when I purchased the badges~! Dear pandabaka, please come back to Comic Fiesta next year <3
For a more clearer and better quality check this one out (someone else posted this ok...) It still shakes though but not because of laughter...
This year's Comic Fiesta is more accessible via public transport compared to the last 2 years but I'm still trying to remember if it was totally jam packed at the old venue or if this place was smaller than the other. It's still awesome and I was glad that I got to go with my friends and meet friends there as well. From what Jo Yi's father told my dad, he was glad that I was the one in charge and that I did it well. I'm glad that I took care of everyone I brought along and I do hope that I gave Jo Yi an awesome moment during her last days in Malaysia.
Next year's hope for Comic Fiesta would be that I would be able to cosplay, meet more people, go for both days and stay till the very end of the event. Oh, and buy more stuff nihihihi...
