today's stupidest thing ever said:
"[he] was unlucky--or was it just bad luck?"
-sports commentator Des Lynam

so, i was in Massachusetts all weekend. I left on Friday at like 10, and i just got back. My show sucked, but i guess the rest was fine. Hallie called me on Friday at about 7ish and so my father and i went to their hotel and said hi, and then we decided to go to dinner. It took us a half an hour to find a restaurant. An Applebees. It was the ONLY restaurant around, and it was only like a 1/3 of the size of a normal one. After getting home and getting to bed at like 11, i woke up at 5...and i was at the barn at like 6. We sat and watched schooling for about an hour, and then we all drew our horses. Hal-dawg drew a horse named neil and i drew a horse named wave. Hallie didn't show until about 1, and we sat in the same chairs the ENTIRE time up until then. She had a really nice ride, and ended up getting fifth out of 24 at nationals! For those of you that don't know, that's REALLY good. When it was time for me to ride, i got on and did my two practice fences and he was really wierd. When i got into the class, my first two fences were really good. The third, however, did not go so well. I made it over the fence, and the horse didnt. I then left the ring with the horse and just simply said, "shit." "dismounting" in the ring is automatic disqualification. Oh well, not the end of the world. It really got to me that i fell off for the same reason that i have always fallen off for the past 3 years. It should have been fixed by now... I really just dont know what i'm gonna do if i keep doing this. It's a complete waste of money to go to a show like this and then just fall off after two jumps, i want to ride at least 8 goddamnit.
Most of the time, after some one screws up big time, jim just kind of walks away and acts like you're such a failure. BUT, he came up to me, and was like..."just think jackie...you made it here. You were the only one from our team. You have improved the most of any of our girls, and i am very impressed. I think you're the most dedicated and i think you'll be the most successful if you continue to work the hardest of all of our girls, too." i was like.....wooooowww.

oh well, there will be other shows.
