I actually like 1 best... except that the title is too close to the top-blurb text there. Number 3 is the only one that isn't impinging on the top-blurb.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It looks like #1 is the most popular, so I may have the figures shifted down a bit and make the author & title smaller so the spacing's better.

I'd move the illustration down and your name up, and then the title a little bit down. But don't make them smaller!

I think shifting the figures and title down might be sufficient -- I wouldn't shrink the title much, personally. It's a very good size.
