Back-To-School Special
I didn't realize that it had been so long since the last time I updated. The time flies by when you're having fun. In the past couple of weeks I saw the girls one last time, I got a raise then said good-bye to the Bay, had a good-bye dinner with people from the Bay and have been doing a lot of back-to-school shopping. Getting ready for this year is different than last year. Preparing to live in a house with people is different than preparing for res. So many things that I didn't realize that I had to buy. Dish set, pots and pans set, cutlery, baking dishes, pot spoons...and the list goes on. It's just a lot of lil things. Thank God the house comes fully furnished with appliances cuz I would die if I had to make a major trip over to Ikea.
I had all these plans for my last week before school. But it looks like the remnants from Katrina are gonna spoil everything. You can't do outdoor activities if buckets of rain are gonna be falling on you :'( I guess I can start packing tomorrow. I haven't started that yet. But then again, I started late last year too. But this year, I have at least a good idea of what to take and what to leave.
On an unrelated side note: In the past couple of weeks, I've had people contact me on MSN and by phone. And these are people who I haven't seen or spoken to in at least a year. People who are on my MSN list, but really should have been deleted when I did my big list clean out. It was just weird and so out of the blue, very unprovoked. Maybe it's something in the air about going back to school that compels people to reach out to others. I dunno.
