hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving!
I told one of my flatmates about Skype and he talks to his friends back home all the time. I told three more overseas Trinity people about skype and now they all talk to their friends online. I told all of you about skype and...nothing. (Andy what happened?) Listen up people, Skype is the future. If you have a microphone you're already good to go. If not all you need is a headset. If this is too much, perhaps you've noticed I'm back on AIM after a hiatus. That's really me. I won't bite. Ok that's a lie, I'm a biter.
I went to a pub that was serving Thanksgiving-type food (in an Irish style anyway) and they had my favorite cider but they ran out of turkey! The corned beef was good, but just not the same. I ate with a Canadian (they have thanksgiving too), and Irishman, an Englishman, and a Czech girl. Thanks Ronnie and Sara for sending some tidings my way.
Christmas decorations have been up since the beginning of November. For a while it was wierd, then I liked it, but now they're starting to wear me down.
Random notes:
Sorry the podcast's still not up, the red tape is ridiculous. I had to sign all these forms because they don't like people hosting mp3's on the servers, for obvious piracy reasons.
Anybody take pictures of Turkey day reunions? I'd like to see...
Pictures from me will also have to wait until i get home, I can't upload them yet. I will post a few from friends' cameras, soon.
To come by next year: Pictures (via phonecam and possibly new camera), movie files/DVD (via CVS disposable camcorder) and podcast, for sure.
Two essays, one exam, done Dec 13. Home Dec 18. Until then...Amsterdam? Copenhagen? Dublin? London, for certain.
Going to New York Jan 1, for my sister's dance performance. I'll be staying for at least one, hopefully more, investment bank internship interviews. Back home Jan 6 at the latest. Flight to Dublin Jan 8. After that, NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLYN (staying till final exams, after which, IF I get to go to New York, I may go straight there from here).
