LONDON

Okay; it's bad enough I haven't a camera with me to document my 3 months in London, but I've also forgotten to update my LJ as I once solemly promised myself I would do.

Then again, I also promised myself I'd get laid and that has yet to come to realization.

Okay in all seriousness the good news is that I know I actually am looking for alot more than sex, which is oh so much more of a challenge. I was in a Bunker Bar, a bar in Covent Gardens on Thursday with the abroad program and I met a British guy named Matt.

We chatted and flirted for a while and then he went in for the kiss. I sorta kissed back but then backed away and said something along the lines of "Look, I've done the random hookup thing but honestly if you're interested in me than ask for my number, otherwise I'm going to go."

Good news? He asked for me number and he texted me!

bad: my phone deleted his message and now I have no means of contacting him :(

But I'm encouraged; I feel I could meet someone fun this summer. Though I do really like some of the people I've met on the trip but I've had to look a bit for them. Ironically enough, one of them is a troupie! But we theater folk must stick together. Though at times I can see why our personalities could clash (she is quieter, I am louder) but we seem to click. Same goes for several other people on the trip.

Today on our day trip to Brighton I got to hang out with this guy Adam. I think we could be really good friends. We talked on the boat tour yesterday when he said something along the lines of "I know you love the cock!"

The comment was loaded with Thackery-ism so I asked if he knew Thackery. Turns out they're friends at BU. Small world but I think he's really nice. Among friends we had lunch together and walked a bit afterwards.

I was kinda hoping to see him tonight but alas, he either went out with others or crashed for the night.

Brighton was so beautiful, I really wish I had taken pictures but the lack of camera didn't help. I've decided on my way to breakfast I have to get a camera of some kind. I was looking at RINZ's new web site "http://www.flickr.com/photos/rinzable/" and at the wonderful way she documents events of her life through photos. Even things normally considered as mundane she infuses with engergy and life.

I want to do that more on this trip and use London as a chance to do that. I got the sense Adam wanted to hang out as we both made sure during the museum tour we were near eachother as we looked at the incredible Regency gone Chinese structure. I was in love with it because the nobles of the Regency/Jane Austin era would chill there.

Felt very connected to Mom as I walked through the bohemian and tightly knit streets of Brighton.

I now completely understand why Lydia wanted to go to Brighton so badly!
