The interview meme
1. It's lunchtime, but all meat and bread has been eradicated from the planet. What do you eat?
Oh no, I can't have a sandwich. :p Uhm... I think I'd probably go with a mixed greens salad with a nice tangy vinaigrette dressing.. almonds or pecans for crunchies.. tomatoes, cucumbers, onions... probably some beans of some kind for protein, some fruit (orange, grapes, tangerine, strawberries, something like that) for dessert. :p
2. What do you consider yourself to be, in terms of spirituality or religion?
Open-mindedly agnostic. I think there COULD be something out there, but I don't know what it is, nor do I pretend to have faith in it. I am fascinated by the ideas and rituals behind most religions (even "made-up" ones like Wicca). Ultimately, I'm wondering if it's not all quantum physics. :p
3. Which is worse: brooding or never thinking about your problems?
I would have to go with brooding. A happy medium would, as with all things, be preferable, but I don't know many people who manage to strike a happy medium with much of anything. I just know that when I am in a brooding type mood, EVERYthing else seems worse, but when I try not to think about things everything else seems to be OK. We have a very real capability to decide our own attitude toward things, and frequently a more positive one is better than a more negative one.
4. Out of everywhere you've ever been, where would you most like to live?
Ooh, tough decision... There's been something attractive about most of the places I've been... I think it would be interesting to live in NY for a while if I had the means to live the way I do here... very attracted to the idea of not HAVING to drive everywhere.
5. Why do you often feel/worry about being stupid/unintelligent/uneducated?
Because:
- I have forgotten or set aside so much knowledge that I gained in school.
- I don't keep up with things in my own field like I should.
- I read light novels for fun, not "enlightening" things.
- I don't pay attention to current events and the news.
- I am unable to speak on "deep" matters such as philosophy, religion, etc.
- I know VERY little about a lot of things.
and perhaps the biggest reason....
- I am insecure. :p
